13th February 2012

On offer are some amazing courses where you can learn about growing more of the food you eat each week in a natural, ethical, time-honoured and sustainable way.

There are such delights as ‘Eat your Flower Beds’ where you can identify, grow and cook with edible flowers. ‘Dirt to Dinner’ courses teach you how to create a productive vegetable and flower garden and bring some more unusual things to your dinner table. ‘Garden Remedies', 'Husbandry Matters for the Garden’ and ‘Allotment Allies’ explore companion planting, plants for liquid feeds and even inventive ways to deter slugs!

There are also some traditional Earth Skills courses including Basket Weaving, Stone Walling, Hedge Laying and Wood Working and art based workshops such as ‘Painting the Earth’ and ‘Painting with Sheep’.

For children and families they run the highly popular Wellie Stomp Club the 3rd Saturday of each month. Creative Sundays will be running 1st Sunday of the month with traditional storytelling and participatory story making activities lead by Sarah Hurley.
