21st May 2012

This year there will be 3 sets of Awards:

Taste of Devon – for restaurants, cafes, bistros and pubs. Sponsored by Luscombe Drinks
Devon Producer – for primary and secondary producers. Sponsored by The Venus Company
Devon Retailer – for farm shops, delis, food halls and other food shops.

The finalists of the Taste of Devon Awards will be automatically entered into the Devon Tourism Awards, with the potential to win at county, region and national level. Special Golds will also again be awarded to outstanding products entered for Devon Producer.

Entries close on Friday 29 June. Judging will take place over the following two months, and the Awards Ceremony will take place in the Autumn. There is no entry fee for the Awards, but produce or meals for judging are required to be provided free of charge.

Why enter? Apart from the prestige of using award success in your marketing if you’re a winner, every entrant will get valuable feedback on their entry. The independent panel of judges will mystery shop the Taste of Devon and Devon Retailer entries, and blind-taste the Devon Producer entries. So for the small investment of time to complete your entry, you get a confidential appraisal of your products and services as they are presented to your everyday customers, to help you maintain and improve your quality standards.

Full information and entry forms can be downloaded from the website on http://www.lovetheflavour.co.uk/fdd-awards.html.
Please direct any queries about the awards to Emily Blades on awards@lovetheflavour.co.uk.
